This was the first book that Barry Zeve contracted me to work, and he had a very specific image he wanted for the cover. He wanted this specific low-quality image of a window looking out to an aquarium, behind of a table covered in the traditional Jewish sacrament items. I took the window image and made it as sharp as possible, then added the additional elements to the cover to create his vision. The interior was challenging as it was very long and had small margins to accommodate the text (it maxed out the available book length at 700 pages).
